A very quiet wedding was performed Saturday, Sept. 5, 1936 at the St. Louis Catholic Parsonage when Miss Cecelia Boxrucker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boxrucker, Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Edmund Neibacher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Neibacher, town of Holway. The double ring ceremony was performed at 2 o’clock in the afternoon by the Rev. Clement Haines, with miss Mildred Boxrucker, sister of the bride, and Irving Umlauft attending.

For her wedding, the bride chose a floor length gown of royal blue velvet, black velvet hat and slippers and an arm bouquet of pink and white carnations. Her bridesmaid wore a wine silk crepe frock with black accessories and a bouquet similar to the bride’s.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents at six o’clock to relatives with covers laid for about seventy-five guests. A wedding dance was held in the evening.

Guests attending the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Jake Boxrucker and family of Stetsonville, Mr. and Mrs. Casper Boxrucker and family of Goodrich, the John and Anton Boxrucker families, Mrs. J. Marette, the Wm. Jantsch, Carl Mertens, Ole Gilbertson, Paul Schultz, Arthur and Herman Kocke, Oscar Neibacher, Adolph Neibacher, and Henry Mertens families.

The happy young couple will be at home to their many friends at once at the home of the groom’s parents, where the groom will operate his father’s farm. We join their friends in wishing them joy and prosperity in life’s journey.
